please can someone help me identify this.

I was lying on top of my bed and saw this insect/bug out of the corner of my eye. At first I thought it could be a bed bug but I inspected the mattress (futon) and futon wooden bed frame and couldn’t see any other live things or black dots etc. I saw two smallish things under the wood which looked more like dust mites.

if this is bed bugs then I just don’t get how. I haven’t been travelling or away from home and I never sleep in outside clothes. this is in a long term family home, not a rental where only 2 people live here. it doesn’t make sense.

please someone help.
