Traveling around Gifu City and Nagoya --- any suggestions/tips?
Hi fellow travelers and locals!
My friends and I are traveling through the Takayama-Horikuri JR Pass route starting in Ishikawa and then going down through Gifu. At the end of our JR Pass, we end up in Gifu and we plan to stay for 5 more days to visit a few places (Ghibli Park, Inuyama Castle, Gifu Castle, Seki, and downtown Nagoya) before we fly out from Chubu airport.
So we were initially thinking of staying near Gifu Sta. (hotel prices there seem more reasonable than Nagoya). But the more I've been looking at the cost of getting around, the more I'm realizing how it might not be the wisest decision.
That being said, are there any bus/train/subway passes in Gifu City? How about Aichi? I've seen some passes for within Nagoya but clicking on the map leads me to a 404. Maybe someone can help? Thanks a lot!
