problem with the artizan hien mid
Hey everyone, how's it going? I wanted to share my experience with the Artisan Hien Mid and honestly it's been pretty unpleasant. I'm not sure why this is my first Artisan pad, but it feels extremely weird when it comes to tracking. For flicks it's actually pretty good, but the problem is with tracking — it feels like there's a drag or pullback that makes the mouse feel heavy.
I use a 60-gram mouse, a modified version of the Cobra Pro. I can't figure out why it feels so strange. I made sure to check if it was authentic — the stitching, texture, and everything else looks like good quality. I even checked the box patterns for any printing defects, but found nothing contradictory that would suggest it's a fake.
If anyone has experience with this, the same issue happens with the Tiger ICE dots: it gets worse when using smaller dots. The ICE Tiger skates come with larger and smaller dots; the minimum I use is 4, and using more improves the glide slightly, but it becomes very slow and practically kills the tracking altogether. I thought it might be the mouse, but I tested it on another softer mousepad and the problem wasn't there.
