Hey everyone Im currently an 18yo Male in college who's looking to move out and I need help and advice regarding doing this.
To give some background my dad passed away about two years ago and my controlling uncle basically began taking over my life step by step. I'm about to be 19 and I still have a 9:00 pm curfew and I can't go out with my college friends. My car, phone and basically everything I own is not under my name, and I'm not even allowed to work.
I currently have a full ride to college and have gotten money back over the last year that I put in a checking account that no one knows (3k ish). I'm currently applying to the dorms at my university and searching for a roommate.
Other than getting a new phone, laptop and having no car since I'm almost 100% positive he is gonna take those away when I move out, what else would I have to consider. I'm currently job hunting and hoping I could get a job this summer so I could have a bit more money saved up before I move out.
Long story short, I'm wondering what else I need to plan for to ensure I can do this as safely and quickly as possible.
(I have already collected my SS number, immunizations, and birth certificate.)
