Is "deduce" often misused in everyday speech?
When people come to a conclusion from an observation(s), I often hear them say they "deduce" Conclusion A from said observation(s); however, isn't this an example of inducing, rather than deducing? I don't think I've ever heard someone say "I induce (answer) from (data)", it's almost always considered a deduction (deduce) or some other adjacent concept/word.
