I am starting an online Psychology undergraduate degree at Penn State University and would love advice from people who have done online psych programs, especially at Penn State.

A little about me:

  • Ive been living between LA and NYC for the last 10 years, moved to the US at age of 21.
  • I’ve been working in real estate and Feng Shui consulting
  • My long-term goal is potentially grad school later (possibly clinical psychology or a related field)
  • I’ll be studying online while continuing to work

I would love honest advice on:

  • How manageable the workload is online
  • Which psychology classes were the most interesting or useful
  • What GPA I should aim for if I want grad school later
  • Whether a BA or BS matters much long term
  • Internship/research opportunities for online students
  • Things you wish you knew before starting
  • Any professors/classes to look out for (good or bad)

I’m honestly very excited to go back to school after being away from academics for years, but also nervous about balancing everything.

Would love to hear:

  • Your experience with Penn State World Campus
  • Psychology major advice
  • Tips for adult students returning to school
  • Career paths people took after graduating

Thank you so much 🙏
