Is it stupid to buy a modular home with my partner in our early 20s and save up for a proper house?

For context my partner and i have been together for just over 5 years and have been living in their parents attic for the last 2 years. we are ready to move out and just want to live alone and have full privacy. We have been looking into modular homes as there is a bit of land at my parents house that we could put it on. We would have to take out a loan as im still in college working part time (will have a full time paid placement year) and my partner will be a qualified electrician in under a year. with the timeline we have in our heads i will only have about a year of college left when we move in. We plan on living there for the next 15-20 years. It is only a 36sq/mt 2 bed modular home which is more than enough space for right now. Paying the loan back is cheaper than renting and also the benefit of a finish line as the loan will be paid off in about 10 years. Our income will only get higher as im done college and my partner fully qualifies and gets experience. im just thinking is it stupid to plan to live there for so long? and only starting to build/renovate a forever home in our early 40s? will it feel like our home when my parents live about 30m away? is making a 10 year commitment like that silly? is there any other better options?
