Howdy folks,

I recently listened to code name: pale horse, and really enjoyed it. The narrative style and the author reading it himself made it very engaging. I’ll be driving up from Atlanta to Louisville soon with my dad, and wanted to find something similar for us to listen to in the car. Any recs?

Thanks!

Howdy folks.

I’m a mid level engineer, and I love reading. But I haven’t picked up many books on software engineering (design patterns, AI, history, etc) because my brain tells me that these are probably outdated very quickly, and I’m better off just reading documentation online for free.

My question is, have those of you that have read books in this area found them useful, or have you found that it is better to just go online? If the former, I would love to hear some recommendations.

Thanks!
