“I didn’t hear anything.”

Sheepishly, “It’s asking if you want to leave a tip.”
“A tip? Is there more? We’re getting coffee at a drive through. Are you going a choreographed routine at the end? What am I tipping for, exactly?”
“Oh, you don’t have to.”
“I understand that. I don’t understand the premise of asking for a tip at a drive through. Are you okay? Are they not paying you enough? If they’re not treating you right I’ll boycott this place and never come back!”
“Sir, there are other customers.”
“Who cares?! Are you okay?”
