Hello, I’m French, and I’m looking to do an acid-base extraction. However, in every video or online protocol I’ve found, they mention naphtha or petroleum ether. Since I’m in France, these are not easy to find and are quite expensive.

I was thinking about using chloroform instead, but I’m not sure if it would be appropriate. Could anyone advise me?
