We are 13 weeks pregnant and had our dating scan at king George’s hospital Ilford. The experience was horrible. The two ladies doing the scan were rude, unprofessional and had zero patient dealing skills. By the time we were done during which the explained nothing, and kept asking 4 times if there was an operation done. We got so scared that my husband had to ask what’s the problem. To which she said it’s a routine question. But seriously asking 4 times when she wasn’t explaining anything that she can see.
My apologies for ranting. I’m very scared as it’s the first pregnancy and tbh the service of NHS hasn’t been any good.

After the scan we had to do blood test. The results of which came in this week and they told us that there is 25% chances that the baby will have Down syndrome and want us to do one more blood test. We haven’t received any results from the scan or the blood test.

Questions:

  1. Is it possible to get the results of scan and blood test? As it will be helpful for a second advice via some gyne who actually will care.
  2. Has anyone had false positive for the Down syndrome and turned out to be fine. At the moment I have zero trust on NHs.
  3. Has someone seen delay in receiving the medication from GP. We were told at week 10 that we need to have some medicine after week 12 but haven’t received the prescription. I even visited the GP but no help. What to do in this case.

Thank you. Please help me before I go crazy.
