It just goes to show how integral and underappreciated grandmas are in our family culture. The role of taking care of a child was so ingrained and such a given for grandmothers that the actual term evolved into something—for lack of a better word—less than a 'grandmother.'
or... I suppose maybe dahil mga matatandang babae lang din yung mga common na yaya dati, that’s beside the point.
I hope all the grandmas get the appreciation they deserve this Mother's Day!
This is happening right now.
A very poor family cannot claim their dead from the funeral parlor. This family absolutely have no money or property. They have indigency documents
In addition, the funeral parlor charges them extra by the day the more the body is held hostage.
Ultimately, the funeral parlor said that if the family cannot pay, they will be forced to "take" the body.
Is there a law that prohibits this from happening
