Got my period about a week and a half post op and I wanted to share how I went about it! I normally use a menstrual cup day and night. I was never a pad wearer and I know there’s a lot of harsh chemicals in pads and tampons so I wanted to steer away from them. I got period underwear, boxers in specific so it seemed like I was just wearing a pair of shorts. Absolute game changer. It holds up to 9 super tampons worth. I was a little skeptical as first and was hoping it wouldn’t leak out into my bed or couch while I’m resting but I’m about at the end of my cycle and so far so good. I highly recommend. I got a pack of 3 from Amazon.

I like to wear boxers regularly, especially just lounging around the house or when I’m wearing sweatpants and to ice, I’d throw another pair of boxers over the period boxers and shove an ice pack in between them. I was icing even when I was making food. I got some long thin ice packs from Amazon that fit perfectly in that area.

To wash the period underwear, I rinsed them in the shower until the water ran clear and then toss them in washer and that’s that! Seriously a game changer without all the harsh chemicals and I love that they’re reusable!
