Does Mexican Horchata have milk?
Many recipes for mexican Horchata call for milk, evaporated milk and/or even condensed milk. But does the traditional Horchata have milk?
I've understood that fundamentally a Horchata would have rice, nuts, some spices, and a sweetener blended and strained to get a drink.
Is it true that people only add milk in it to make it more palatable for Americans?
Moreover, what is the purpose of using condensed milk ?
