[Deck Help] Adaptive Recursive Tameshi cEDH Brew – Looking for Optimization Feedback
Decklist:
https://moxfield.com/decks/2Ncb1r_h0U6-PkfLjmDkXQ
Budget:
~$6k
I’ve been refining this Tameshi list for about 2 years and am finally getting to the point where I want outside feedback from experienced cEDH players before I start putting more real reps into it.
The deck is built around recursive artifact/enchantment loops using Tameshi, Reality Architect. The general plan is to use the graveyard as an extension of the hand while assembling one of several infinite mana engines, then convert that into a win through:
• Walking Ballista
• Thassa’s Oracle via infinite draw
• Brain Freeze
• Codex Shredder loops
The deck is less turbo-focused than most all-in combo lists and leans more toward adaptive play patterns, recursion, and layered interaction while still being capable of explosive starts.
Some notable interactions/packages:
• Lotus Bloom + Tameshi recursion lines
• Grim Monolith + Power Artifact
• Isochron Scepter + Dramatic Reversal
• Intuition/Gifts piles that assemble “infinite mana into infinite draw”
• Heavy use of low-cost permanents that recur efficiently with Tameshi
A lot of the deck’s engine density comes from cards that:
• self-sacrifice
• naturally move through zones
• become recursion targets later
• generate value through repeated Tameshi activations
Some cards that probably look strange at first glance but have been overperforming in testing:
• Seal of Removal
• Seal of Cleansing
• Traveler’s Amulet
• Aether Spellbomb
The MDFC lands are primarily played as lands early and later rebought with Tameshi in grindier games.
The deck also has a fairly dense interaction suite because the overall gameplan has been to survive and disrupt early turbo attempts before establishing a winning window.
I’m mainly looking for feedback on:
• cards that seem underperforming
• blind spots into current cEDH meta
• convergence speed
• whether certain packages seem too cute or inefficient
• possible upgrades I may be overlooking
Would especially appreciate thoughts from people with experience on:
• Tameshi
• recursive combo shells
• artifact-centric control/combo
• adaptive non-turbo strategies
Thanks for taking a look!
