hello all. recently got a new job in the Temple Hills/Marlow Heights area. but i currently live 50 miles away from it. i dont want to commute over an hour each way forever

i'm looking to move closer to that area (~30 mins commute ideal) in the nearish future, but everywhere has mixed reviews on safety and affordability. i'm alone, and am a rather small person. safety is a higher priority than cost, but cost is a huge priority nonetheless. hoping to find a good balance of both.

what is a safe and affordable area around Temple Hills/Marlow Heights?
