I have written this story, and in the new chapter, I mention two books: The Muggle-Born Revolution by Oba Adeyemi and Bad Blood: The Politics of Purity by Ellen Daggert-Smith. Both the books and the authors are from the fanfiction The Last Enemy: Dark Marks. I have credited the source and the author's name in my notes.

Should I notify the author?

To clarify, my fanfiction is set in 2021 (post-The Cursed Child), and Delphini Riddle’s cellmate buys these books specifically to annoy her. My story has no plot connection to The Last Enemy; it is simply meant to be an Easter egg.
