Bone graft site tenderness normal?
I am just over 2 weeks out of my extraction and bone graft for tooth 8 (top front tooth).
I would say I have pain necessarily but the area is still very tender and sensitive. It is actually most sore when I wipe my nose with a tissue- like the whole jaw structure where the tooth root was is sore.
is this normal? Did others experience this? I see lots of info about pain at this point not being normal, but I wouldn’t call this pain. I am really worried about infection, although I don’t have any classic symptoms of infection.
This whole process has been a nightmare- I went in for what was supposed to be an easy veneer replacement and my dentist broke my tooth below the gumline. I then had a root canal treatment that was doomed to fail and got infected. I was treated with 2 rounds of antibiotics while we waited for my flipper to come in. I didn’t have any antibiotics after the extraction.
