2M miler and fully prepared for some level of roast here but going to ask anyways.
Family joining me on a business trip overseas. I am able to book D1 but I am hesitating because I naturally think its a prick move to stick your family in the back while you are up front. With that being said, my wife said it's ridiculous considering I need to be awake and ready to drive for a few hours when we land. Nevertheless, the only way I'd feel comfortable is if I could give me wife the seat for meal service and first couple hours and then I just use it to sleep for the remainder of the flight.
Before anyone says anything, no, I'm not prepared to pay for 4 additional D1 seats and if this isnt feasible, I'll just book economy. Does anyone have any experience swapping like this just once during a flight? I am sure the official answer is "not allowed" but not sure it would really cause much of an issue if it only occurred once after meal service etc.
