Hi all! My boyfriend and I are planning a cycling trip this summer in Scandinavia and we would like your help. We have about 10/11 days but this includes a train journey back and forth from the Netherlands. We are planning to cycle 80 - 110 kms per day.
To reduce travel time, we are thinking Denmark, however we also do like climbing some hills and cycling through untouched nature - which Sweden and Norway might have more of. We do not want to fly.
Our questions:
- We are considering cycling from Lubeck to Malmö on the Baltic Sea Route - has anyone here done this route? What were your experiences?
- Has anyone done Eurovelo routes in this area that include forests/hills/lakes and possibilities to wild camp in nature?
- Are there other slightly more adventurous routes in Denmark/southern Sweden?
- Any other hacks to reach rougher terrains whilst not spending all of our vacation time on trains/ferries?
Thanks in advance!
