How do you all hold the bag when administering subq fluids?
I'm wondering how everyone else holds and reads the bag to determine how much they've given their cat. I used to just hang the bag on a hanger but a vet tech said I need to scrunch the top of the bag down to get an accurate reading. Is that correct or is it ok to just go off the bag as it hangs? I find it so hard to determine where the fluid is at and I'm always worried about giving too much. The reason I ask is because today I gave my cat fluids and when the bag is hanging it looks like it's at the 1 mark (so 100 ml) but when I scrunch down the air in the bag it looks like it's at the 2 (which would be 200 ml, way too much).
