Every once in awhile, Ill be tapping the earbuds to switch between songs when all of a sudden it will start the "find my device" ping. This occurs as if i had tapped some secret hidden password that activates this feature.

I have searched high and low on the internet, the manual, and settings and can find no mention of a feature that you can access the "find my device" ping routine by tapping the earbuds.

This is extremely annoying because you can't get it to stop with the earbuds themselves, you have to rip them out of your ears and quickly find your phone, navigate through multiple menus on android to stop them from pinging.

Does anyone know what tap combination activates this? More importantly, does anyone know how to deactivate it?
