Rebuilt carb, not new jets though. Didn’t go thru needles or whatever they are. Got new float needles because old ones were dented. Fuel pump it’s pushing fuel really really good. It’s getting spark. I am lost
2000 Kawasaki XLSTX 900 jet ski revs perfectly fine out of water but when I put it in the water, it does not want to go above 2900 RPM some pointers would be nice.
I’ve abt had it, I’ll give you a rundown. Low hours. Doesn’t start cold needs a little fluid to get it going. Starts pretty fast after letting it warm up. Give it an hour same problem. Cleaned carbs blew out jets rebuilt the carb. Fuel pump is flowing. But the fuel looks really clear no oil it looks like. But it smokes pretty good not bad though. Starts on hose. Starts on land. When I drop it in the water it dies immediately and when I try to turn it in the water NOTHING happens. What the hell should I do. It’s my first ski and I will not be failing this. Also I ordered new float needles because all 3 of mine have little indents on the top hopefully that helps.
