I recently got engaged and we are planning our wedding for next year.
I have an ileostomy and wondering if anyone has any tips for wedding dress shopping / what kind of dress to choose as I will need to be able to empty throughout the day?
Myself and my partner just got engaged and neither of us are interested in spending thousands on a wedding. We bought our house a few months ago so are still pretty broke from that!
We are thinking of a small registry office wedding with just immediate family, followed by a meal, then having drinks with extended family and friends that night.
How do you actually go about having a registry office wedding? Completely new to this, I read you have to give three months notice, so would we book an appointment for three months time or how does it work?

I miss enjoying food!
I did four weeks at 2.5mg and then went up to 5mg. I took my second 5mg on Friday evening (48 hours ago)
I got engaged on Thursday so this weekend has been so enjoyable, went away for the weekend and lots of meeting friends and family for food and drinks. I find the first 48 hours after jab the worst symptom wise, with complete suppression and nausea etc.
I didn’t enjoy anything I ate all weekend, couldn’t finish any meal and wasn’t hungry for any of it. Had a couple of glasses of wine, was by no means drunk, but still ended up with me being sick and vomiting.
Today I was out for a few hours and had three drinks, hadn’t been able to eat since breakfast but had some pizza and was sick straight away again. I have been sick all evening throwing up everything that I ate and drank today.
I know my choices haven’t been the best, but I’m celebrating a really special time and it’s hard not enjoying anything I’m eating and feeling so crappy!
My in laws have organised a family meal for next Saturday to celebrate our engagement and I’m not sure what to do in term of my jab as I would really like to be able to enjoy the meal.
Just needed that rant 😅
