Hello, currently a first year resident and my non-med partner just started working corporate. I'm not trying to sound bitter or what ha... I'm literally just confused and left wondering.
How is it that an entry-level undergraduate degree holder who works a 7 to 5, 5 days a week (50 hrs a week) is paid 40k starting,
and I, a post-graduate degree holder in a literal life-or-death line of work who works about 110+++ hrs a week (not even counting perpetual duties as punishment) is paid 40k a month as well with no holidays, benefits, incentives, etc.
Like... haha Idk may legal or economics or business ad concept ba behind this? Can someone more learned about this stuff explain the gap?
P.S. I am aware naman that the "overworked, underpaid" thing has been there since forever, pero I just never thought "Why?" or even "How?" and again... not mad po so don't agit if triggered lol.
