Could that cause the breaker tripping

That's the wires going in to my disconnect, the left side is the whip, what is the black thing next to the wires. I took this pic after original post about the breaker tripping and can't figure out how to add it to the post

Ac tripping breaker

My ac start and works for a little while then it keeps tripping the breaker. I had 2 different tech checked the unit (the unit is practically new only couple years old) they didn't found anything wrong with the system, capacitor is fine, pressure is good etc. the only thing one tech mentioned was that my breaker was 40 amp and unit called for 15-20. Previous unit required 40. The new ac was installed by professional but the breaker was left the same, which I realized could cause damage the new ac on top of being fire hazard. Since the tech found nothing wrong with the unit itself I've changed the breaker for correct amp however the issue stay the same and it keeps tripping. I need help to figure out my next steps. Since I have cut off switch(no fuze) outside I was wondering if electrical connectors could be damaged from drawing to much amp and arching and keep tripping the breaker?
