I am looking for insight into my 2-year-old son’s skin. He’s had eczema since birth. After allergy prick tests and blood work, we changed his diet, which cleared up 98% of his body. However, he has these stubborn, very itchy, and seemingly painful bumps on his arms, hands, and legs that won't go away.
Key Observations:
• Triggers: This specific "bumpy" flare-up gets much worse in the summer when he is playing outside in the humidity.
• Locations: Mostly on his feet (as seen in the photos), but also his arms and hands. He still has some patches on his palms, elbows, and knees.
• The Struggle: Neither his pediatrician nor the dermatologist has been able to give us a definitive diagnosis for these specific bumps.
• Symptoms: It is incredibly itchy and he seems to be in pain from it every day.
Has anyone dealt with a condition that is triggered specifically by heat/humidity like this? We’ve ruled out a lot through his blood work and diet, but we are still searching for relief.
