Hi everyone, I need some advice and would really appreciate your thoughts.
I’m currently a PC player, but I’m planning to buy a console specifically for GTA 6 at launch and I’m stuck between PS5 and Xbox Series X.
I know there’s no official confirmation yet about crossplay or performance differences, so I’m not expecting a definitive answer. I’m more interested in what the community thinks based on Rockstar’s history and industry trends.
Here’s my situation:
I’m from LATAM, so game pricing and subscriptions matter a lot long-term.
I have only one close friend who plays on Xbox Series X.
My plan is to fully enjoy and “squeeze” the single player first, but after that I’ll definitely put a lot of hours into GTA Online.
Performance matters to me too, I want the game to run as smoothly and as well as possible.
Since Rockstar hasn’t traditionally supported crossplay, I’m a bit unsure about how that might play out this time, especially for online.
At the same time, I know PlayStation tends to have a bigger player base in LATAM and better resale value here, so I’m trying to weigh everything.
Also, I’ll need to buy a TV for this setup, so if you have any recommendations, I’d really appreciate that too.
Again, I know nothing is confirmed yet — I’m just trying to make the most informed decision possible ahead of time.
