Brand new to RVing so new I don’t have a trailer yet. But need help getting the car set to tow.

I’m driving a 2025 Honda pilot black edition and looking at getting a Jayco SLX. When I brought the spec sheet to the Honda dealership they said that it would be totally fine to tow that trailer but I’m seeing a lot of people recommend brake controllers and seeing some people have stabilizer bars and some say not on a unibody SUV. The pilot has a internal transmission cooler built-in for tow mode so I’m good there but I was wondering, is there anything else that I would need to make sure that the towing process goes smoothly?

New to the world of RV living. What are the essentials?

We are looking to buy our first travel trailer. What are the things you recommend to buy that enhance the camping experience? Or things for the trailer that would make life easier/better.

Looking to buy our first travel trailer. Would a Jayco Jay Flight SLX 172DB be a good choice?

We are looking for a trailer to pull with my Pilot (5,000 lb towing capacity) for weekend trips 5-7x a year. We are a family of 4 with two young kids and a 60 lb dog. We camp and rent cabins often but totally new to the camper world. I originally looked at a Forest River ROK which was too small, then to a wolf cub, 21 ft Salem and then ended on the Jayco 172DB. We want something that has bunks or sleeping arrangements for around 6. Is the Jayco a solid option, or would you recommend something else? Budget is trying to keep it under 17,000.
