My first clip-on style earbuds. Feeling pretty good about them.
TL;DR: I have weirdly shaped ear canals and most standard buds start hurting after a while. Tried a bunch of over-ears and neckbands too. Finally got the Baseus XC1 clip-ons and they are pretty comfortable, have good battery life, and decent sound (with Bose tuning). Cons are they get a little oily and are annoying to clean.
Wanted to share my thoughts after using these for a few days, mainly for working from home. I typically have a lots of back-to-back calls and regular earbuds always start making my ears sore by midday.
I still need to hear my surroundings, like if someone is knocking on the door or if my family needs something in the other room. These clip onto the side of your ear instead of going inside your ear canal.
Comfort is easily the best part. I wear them all morning and my ears don’t feel blocked or sore at all. It also feels much lighter than wearing big over-ear headphones, which always get too hot for me. The battery life also lasts a really long time, like I’ve only charged them once so far this week with daily use.
The sound quality is good. The Bose tuning makes a difference for music.
As mentioned, cleaning them is kind of annoying. They do get a little oily just from the skin on your ear, so you have to wipe them down quite a bit.
