Good Investments that Aren’t AI
I’m in a lucky position where a family member is gifting me some money to invest. Their idea in gifting was for us to invest it AI stocks because they feel this will have good returns and provide some financial security. Morally, I’m really against AI. I think it poses a threat to the future- environmental decline/ taking jobs from people- and as a mom, I feel obligated to not support things that might harm the world my children live in. My sibling and their family is being given the same gift, but they don’t seem opposed to the investment. The family member gifting this to us thinks that my sibling will see great returns and more financial security for their family while my family will be less secure because of a morality hang up. So, any financially savvy moms here have alternative suggestions of how to invest?
