AI is a topic of concern for many, and I imagine many of us are prepping for potential fallout from it. But also, it is in fact a powerful tool and I am sure many of us are using it to help prep. I personally have used it to reason through my thinking, sanity check counts, simulate scenarios, get gear suggestions... much more than a google search could really give for sure. Lately I have been thinking about using it to help me organize my preps and gear, but I have privacy concerns feeding specifics into these llms. I've even thought about setting up an entirely offline open sourced llm model to use for these purposes but not sure it's worth the trouble. Wondering how the rest of you are using it or avoiding it or balancing the two.

I've got quite a few between my EDC, work, kitchen. Some are in the garage. Sometimes I forget what I have. Sometimes I want to sell something and don't remember what I paid for it. I tried a spreadsheet but I'm not really a spreadsheet guy. I do take lots of photos of them but that's about it. Curious to hear how you all keep track of your collections.
