tell me what tires you have and what you hate about them? Also what are you considering for your next tires? Michelin e primacy? Continental DWS06?

I like to find whats the best tire by knowing what people hate about their tires. the least hated one wins. I have done 110k kms (65k miles) on Michelin CC2s and they still have around 10% life remaining on the back and 40% for the front tires which is surprisingly a lot of life for a tire. I have a puncture on one of the front tires that has 40% remaining on it and I may be forced to get a pair of new tires if In told its not fixable. Im wondering if I can at this point get something else. I don’t like the efficiency numbers of this tire, its ice performance, and the noise levels. Im considering 2 sets for summer and winter. I have already decided on Michel X ice snow for winter. for summer Im thinking the new Michelin e primacy or Continental DW06.

The cabin filter in our cars is interacting directly with the $5000 HVAC system that also cools and heats the battery. changing this filter is very important but more important than that is changing it with an OEM one purchased from Tesla. The original filters are made to allow for a certain amount of airflow and pressure, and to maintain the amount of airflow restriction that the software is expecting is important.

If you install aftermarket filters, they may restrict airflow for the additional features they are advertising to you and this will cause abnormality in how your AC works and can also damage the $5000 HVAC system due to excessive airflow restriction or provide worse filtration performance due to the filters not being snug and allowing for air to pass through the gaps. these original filters are made in Germany and they are already the highest quality you can get. you can not do better than whats already coming with the car so stop looking. If you dont have access to original filters, you can get Purolator or MANN filters which are also made in germany and they are the closest ones to the original Tesla filters.

Don’t think that you have found the perfect aftermarket filters because I have seen them all. They advertise how many folds are in their filter, how many layers and the carbon pieces floating around looking impressive and promising. it’s all bs and they will choke your AC system for no gains. Or some other ones selling for $10 looking just like the OEM ones but they wont filter much and leave gaps for air to skip the filters. none of them perform as good as the original ones or last as long as the original ones.

now let me show you what my aftermarket $20 basic looking filters(wish I didn’t buy these, learned my lesson) look like after 100k km / 60k miles. the side view picture also shows black mold due to water collecting there and soaking up the filters for which there is currently no solution other than 3D printing a certain wrap around cover for the bottom section to protect the filter from soaking up condensation water.
