Autopatch Questions
Hello,
I'm trying to figure out some Autopatch basics just to be sure I have everything set up properly and I don't feel like I am getting the answers in the setup guides.
I have created my Autopatch groups and assigned device groups to them. I have selected which updates I want to apply.
1. Do I also need to make separate Quality and Feature policies outside of the Autopatch group? It *seems* like I don't need to for Quality but that I need to for Feature? This is very confusing.
2. Why do Feature updates not allow a grace period like everything else? Why can't I offer a set number of user deferrals before it's required to be installed?
3. If I rollout the Feature updates and it happens to already be past the deadline, will my users all be hit with an immediate update and request to restart once the update downloads?
4. Do the options in the Autopatch group to set active hours or specific days change when Feature updates are available? When does it force the user to do the restart?
I really wish this was made more clear in any of the documentation. Ideally, I'd like my users to have an option to defer a number of times before they're forced into a Feature update, but that doesn't look like an option anywhere.
