Interpretation of results : not native speaker, potentially ADHD profile?
I'm 50yo and first time I'm trying a proper IQ test. I took the CORE and it was lots of fun. A couple of observations I'd be happy to get the community's input on.
- I'm not a native English speaker but have been living in the US for a while now and I thought my English was pretty good. Well, let's just say the Antonyms and Analogies were a humbling experience 😄 I probably didn't know half of the words. I guess there are a few tricks this old dog still needs to learn. Are there proper online IQ tests that are less English dependent? What could be the different in FSIQ points? I read somewhere that I should be looking at the culture fair instead but that's lower for me which does not make any sense.
BTW it was also funny to notice that with the digit sequences, I was creating mental images of the sequence as a number but only after I was translating each digit in my head to my native language. I never noticed anything like that and I think I only noticed it now because of the time pressure.
- I understand that my profile matches typical ADHD outcomes? I have 2 kids with ADHD but never thought of the option I might have it myself. My wife is super disorganized and I'm the one that never forgets to do chores and errands. I've also always been the one at work to stay on top of things for everyone. So this is a bit confusing. I guess I won't go for a proper diagnosis at my age as I don't really care that much, just a bit curious. I think I might try to take a WMI / PSI tests with ADHD medication and see how it goes. Any other ideas?
