I've been trying to clean the couch in our house that used to belong to our Golden Retriever, unfortunately he won't be making use of it anymore and since it felt kind of greasy from (I assume) his fur I've been trying to clean it up and not succeeding.

At first I removed all the cushions, used a brush to get rid of all the hair and then went at it with the vacuum to make sure any loose debris is taken care of. Then I used the Woolite Upholstery Cleaner to go at it (I've used this before on the other furniture that are the exact same fabric and it worked well, but our dog wouldn't lay on those). After I let this dry next to a fan and window the couch felt more waxy than anything and I don't even wanna sit on it.

So I went back and looked up how to solve this problem, Google results told me it's possibly from using too much cleaner and the waxy feeling is from excess solution. I found a video on YouTube dedicated to cleaning with numerous videos about cleaning upholstery (@CleanThatUp) and they recommended to make a solution of 50/50 water and isopropyl alcohol + a drop of Dawn dish soap.

I sprayed this over the cushions and agitated it with an upholstery brush (medium bristle), then used a carpet cleaner (Little Green Mini) with upholstery attachment to go over both cushions with just water and let them dry in the sun since it was a very warm and dry day. After a few hours the cushions felt bone dry but when I run my hand across them I can still feel that waxy feeling and on top of that the cushion now look kind of browned. They don't smell musty or anything.

So to not dig myself any deeper into this hole, I'm hoping some of you can help me solve this problem of the couch feeling waxy and to hopefully remove the browning that appeared.

Picture attached of the fabric showing the browning (poorly, hard to capture on camera) and the label.
