I have noticed this plane (N61Q), and another plane that recently took its place (will add in comments), but
I’ve gone back a year, and this plane has flown these exact patterns, once a week, at least for a year, over Miami and Tampa.
Usually around 1500 feet, in mid morning hours (through winter, fall etc), usually done a little before noon and flies back to Bradenton/Sarasota.
I am sure it goes back further than a year, I stopped checking and got to April 2025.
These planes are owned by Dynamic Avlease. First thought, perhaps mosquito spray or such, but timing, both time of day and all the months of the year, unlikely.
Quick convos with AI, we eventually end up in the same area, Lidar/calibrating sensors/AI software etc.
Can someone explain to me why this company, with apparently Govt being a large portion of their clients, why they would need to fly this grid pattern, minimum, once a week, over a year?
I have found other Dynamic Avlease planes that fly similar grid patterns over LA, upstate New York, and even Mexico, though I didn’t go as far back to see if the exact same patterns were happening.
