Was this trade veto valid to the competitive dynasty community?

Play in a 12 man .5 TEP Superflex, year 4. Offered Marv and likely for 1.01 who was looking to trade across whole league, he countered with Nico. I accept, league vetoes.
(Obviously i recognize I feel like I’m winning the trade, he’s been in the league for all 4 years, this is my second in the league)

Thoughts?

Also for context, league said they would have accepted Marv and Likely but not this. Owner wanted Nico instead and they rule it vetoed. As well as precedent being set in the 2023 season, same league let through a trade involving: Mike white, Tony pollard and jakobi Myers for lamb and Sam darnold.

League is letting reddit community decide on if this Nico trade is vetoable.
