2 months ago I made this post asking about finding Barefoot shoes tha had a very wide toe box: https://www.reddit.com/r/barefootshoestalk/comments/1rb1cwb/looking_for_shoes_and_boots_with_very_wide_toebox/
Since then I have still have not been able to find barefoot shoes that fit my feet as any I have found have been too narrow. I traced around my feet and measured them. My foot length is 25.1cm and my mid foot is just over 10.5cm and my toe splay is 11cm on my widest foot.
Since posting my original post, I have tried Wyde Footwear and Softstar Primal Saywer, Softstar RunAmoc custom with their Megagrip tred and Softstar Switchback II boots. Wyde was OK in mid foot but toe box wasn't wide enough. I have a pair of Softstar Primal Sawyer but after wearing them for a while, I found I was getting heal pain and noticed that while th toe box was wide enough and I could splay my toes out, the mid foot and heel were a bit too narrow for my feet so had to stop wearing them.
The custom RunAmoc with the Megagrip tread felt terrible on my feet. My toes felt like they were being squashed and my big toes kept hitting the top of the toe cap and that didn't feel good.
I had a pair of Softstar Switchback II boots with their hybrid sole. They are just about wide enough in the midfoot and heel but my pinky toes hit the curve of the toe box, so they are not wide enough in the toe box.
I feel at a loss. The only shoes I have I am wearing right now are Lems Primal 3 but they are not wide enough in either the mid foot or toe box.
I am currently getting some foot pain having to wear these shoes and I am desperate for better fitting shoes but can't seem to find any. Any that I find that are wide or extra wide are either wide in the toe box but not wide enough in the mid foot, or wide enough in the mid foot but not in the toe box. Can anyone help? I don't want to go back to normal shoes which have not helped my feet at all over the years I have worn them.
