Strange timecode behavior

(Video of issue is visible in post). I'm working on a multicam edit, and when I add an audio clip to the timeline, Premiere changes that clip's source timecode as displayed in the Project window. All video and audio clips were recorded with sync'd TC boxes and have matching timecode and frame rate, and timeline specs match. Once this happens, that clip is permanently associated with that timecode, so deleting it and re-importing keeps the changed timecode. Only way to "re-set" is to delete the source clip, change the original clip name at the file level (in this case, I added the "d" to the filename) and re-import. But when edited into the timeline, it changes again. This happens whether I drag the clip into the timeline OR I edit it in with the Overwrite. Can anyone shed some light on this? I'm using PP v25.4 on Mac OS Sequoia 15.7.3.
Update: Same TC change happens even when working in non-multicam edit. Audio file came from Zoom F8n, but I've never had this issue before.
Edit: added video clip and add'l info.
