TLDR: Bought item from company but the money never came out of my account. Still on track to receive my item and the company has stated that it has been paid for.
Hello all! I couldn’t figure out a decent place to ask this question, so pardon me if this is beyond the rules of this sub. M
I recently made a large purchase online of a little over $1300. I had the funds in my checking account, and it was pending immediately, showing I had a few hundred available but the current amount displayed was $1700 or so. I received a confirmation of payment email from the company I bought from.
Only a day or two after payment, it showed I had roughly $1700 back in my account. It’s like the payment never even happened. No emails regarding any issues from the company I bought the item from nor my credit union. Nothing on my statement either.
I called the company to make sure they had received payment, and they said that they did and I left it at that. I’m a bit at a loss. What should I do?
