Hornets:
Go all in and try compete in a weak Eastern Conference while LaMelo enters his prime. KD gives them an elite half-court scorer and immediately raises the ceiling of the team offensively. A lineup of LaMelo, Kon, Brandon Miller and KD would likely become one of the best floor-spacing and 3pt shooting teams in the NBA. The entire idea is to maximize spacing around LaMelo while still keeping size and length across the roster. Potentially the hornets need to give up more but idk.
Rockets:
Turn KD and Adams into younger long term pieces that fit Sengun better. MPJ gives elite shooting and spacing to make up for the KD loss, while Claxton gives Houston a high-level defensive big and rim protector next to Sengun. McNeeley also adds another young shooter/wing prospect. Overall Houston gets deeper, younger, and more balanced defensively without completely sacrificing offense. (Also clear 2 mil, not alot but it helps)
Nets:
Main priority here is regaining control of their own 2027 draft pick. If Brooklyn isn’t planning on competing immediately, having control of their own draft next year is extremely valuable, especially in a strong draft. They also pick up additional first-round assets and multiple rotational players while maintaining flexibility going forward.
Bulls:
Chicago swaps Patrick Williams for Steven Adams, which clears roughly $4M+ in salary immediately while also opening longer-term cap flexibility. If the Bulls land a top 3 pick like Darryn Peterson or another franchise-level guard, they suddenly have a much cleaner financial situation to build around young talent and attack free agency. Adams also brings veteran leadership, toughness and mentoring for a younger locker room despite being on a shorter-term deal. As we know the bulls don't like rebuilds and they have potentially 74Million in cap space for FA if they don't resign Ivey, Sexton, Simons or Collins. (Unless I'm wrong and being stupid)
Quite a big Overview but this trade helps every team in my opinion.
