Wonder Woman, what does she even do?

No tv animated series(fucking Harley got one before holy shit ahahahga),public aren't even aware of her villains. And her one big break out movie role was negged by the universe it was in basically exploding. Plus the middling sequel. It's like not even DC know what to do with her. Cancelling her game and shit.

Her biggest hit recently that's been universaly well received was her Abousolute run. And it's really good mind you. But it's also a different version of the character. Her " default" self could use something of that caliber. Ultimately I also think that's what keeps her down at times. There really isn't a unifying identity for her unlike Batman or Superman.

So while she remains popular a character and icon due to her history. She always feels like the least realized of the Trinity.

Disney Star Wars is a flip a coin simulator and they've fucked up....A LOT. So them managing to keep Vader's reputation as a character positive for most fans is impressive. It helps that he's a very limited character emotions wise and usually serves a role. That is Dog walking whatever bum they need him to fuck up to continue the story and it's pretty fuckin sick. Rouge one,Rebels, and yes even the Maul show have kept him a larger than life force of nature that's ment to fuck shit up. That's not to say his showing in the comics isn't impressive either. The artists and illustrators have him go on these grand journeys.

That appeal of Vader is generally very impressive that haven't managed to mess up. And Anakin's tragic fall resonated well with audiences with the portrayal of his wretched state now being a half machine monster. Seeking out for his next task. Because holy shit it would be so easy to fuck up a legacy character by trying to veer off shit that doesn't work. Luke's inconsistent portrayal in the sequels. Ahsoka getting spammed everywhere. There is a volume of people that didn't like this additions. But Vader remains enduring even under the Disney handling. If only they didn't have him using slurs in fortnite lol.

2001's Atlantis The Lost empire is a pretty great film. With a lot of technical breakthroughs for 2D/3D animation. It's cast is very diverse with everyone having unique designs. The directors and animators definitely were proud of the film. Especially one of its main leads Kida the Atlantean princess. She's pretty interesting and definitely alluring,as such the film does dedicate a decent portion showing off her thighs.

But then you start to realize maybe they could've dedicated some of that detailed attention equally to the plot device holding up the whole film. The shepherd's Journal and how much this book makes no fucking sense. During the production of the film the directors wanted something Milo could interact with that would lead them on their journey. They didn't want something like a scroll that was too unwieldy or visually off. So they settled on the Shepherd's Journal. A in universe account of shepherd's journey to Atlantis. Wars and battles were fought over this thing and ended up being important throughout history.

Pretty self explanatory right ,as an narrative device. Until you actually pay more attention and again makes no mother fuckin sense. Because how did this random shepherd even manage to accomplish this. The entrance to Atlantis is at the bottom of the ocean. Did he dive somehow at the same depth as an submarine? How did he reach it? The film suggests it's an account of his journey during the hay day of the empire.

But in the film it's treated as the book has current information that's related to the status of Atlantis. Such as the air pocket and collapsed ruins. Now back to Kida's thighs for a second. The king of Atlantis mentions Kida would have slayed them a thousand years ago. But this doesn't make any sense as this would essentially be her first interaction with surface dewelrs. Contradictory to the way she's treated. Also the film states outsiders are forbidden and would have been killed. So how did the shepherd even manage to get out of Atlantis if this is the case.

Overall Atlantis is still a fun film but that book makes no sense. But it's flaws as a film highlight how if u focus one aspect of a film. You can narratively weaken other parts of the story.
