Hello group,
My Lenovo Legion laptop decided to die exactly after 3 years. Had a 14900 and 4080M in there. Looking to re-use what I can, their repair solution was 2.1K +tx which was to fully replace the mobo/cpu/gpu board. A huge slap in the face.
Plan on using for an alternate pc for the kiddos so they can play Diablo 4. They either connect on a 3440x1440 monitor or a 4k tv.
I'm a bit lost at the fact that new cpus have soldered ram in the mini form factor or require the new type that goes up to 8k mhz.
So far, found a deal on the MS-02 in canada as a barebones but with the smaller 235hx, which *I think? opinion here* would do the trick when paired with the 5060 LP from either Gigabyte or Asus. Should be enough for the boys using framegen/dlss most likely?
Is there any other solution I didn't think of? Not looking for an external enclosure, need to keep it into one box ideally.
Budget around 1250CAD, no more laptops, I'm still salty about the whole situation.
