MyioSmart Lenses for Adult Age 27, High myope -5
Can these be effective for adults? I'm 27 and I've gone from -4.5 in both eyes to -4.75 and -5 in the other since I was 25. My optrometrist made me get the Miyosmart lenses as she claimed my myopia should not be progressing this much at this age. But I can only find evidence of these working in children. And honestly they are horrible to wear as I do a lot of reading and near work and they are super distracting for that. She also mentioned trying OrthoK next year if these don't work out for me.
Does anyone here have experience using these as an adult? Did you get used to the blurring effect of them? Did they genuinely slow your progression? Am I being overprescribed with these?
