Everything, from the spinning copper boiler to the water wheel, propeller, cogs and flywheels are powered by the two steam engines at the front. They get their fuel (coal blocks) and water from the tender. The train floats about one pixel above the track, making it almost frictionless. You can also refuel and refill from the two connectors on top of the tender. And yes, I know the propeller looks a bit too far to the right lol.
