I've created an outline for a story that I eventually want to write. In the process of hashing everything out, I felt like the main action, or more of what I wanted to say in the story, was getting washed out by earlier parts. Effectively, I was starting in Medias Peace rather than medias Res and I wanted to ask if it would be better to potentially cut some things out and start in Medias Res.
