Buff used:
(Test1) TBD
· The Agent’s Daze value is increased by 10%, and [Basic Attacks]/[Chain Attack] ignore 15% of the enemy’s total damage resistance.
· After activating a [Chain Attack], the party’s critical damage is increased by 15% for 15 seconds. This effect stacks up to 4 times, and the duration is refreshed upon repeated activation.
So Defiler's HP increased by 14 million from the 2.8 version. Bleh. Good score considering the HP bump and that the buff used isn't as great as Billy's DA shill buff. Decree is such an absurd buff lol. Also Defiler is also just a terrible boss imo. Low stun damage multiplier for an Attacker boss remains one of the biggest bullshit in the game.
But on to discoveries. Some of these Billy changes are from 2.8.12, but since that is the Content Creator access server and not beta, I'm experiencing these Billy changes for the first time.
- Norma is fun. Way more fun for Billy than Dialyn is. I just hate playing SBilly with Dialyn.
- The hat mechanic is a fun gimmick. You kinda have to keep track of where the hat is as you're controlling Billy. His left/right drift becomes real useful here for repositioning so that when you switch to Norma, you can spawn her close to her hat.
- Because the hat mechanic is a fun character-based gimmick that requires the player to really pay attention to your surroundings to make use of really well, I'm half expecting it to get removed lol.
- Norma is a godsend for Billy's decibel management. One or two stuns in this run would've been Ultimate-less stuns if it weren't for Norma.
- Billy drifting through missile barrage = pure cinema
- Dialyn is probably still a tad bit better, but as I said above, I hate playing Billy and Dialyn together. That Norma is a way more comfortable stunner for Billy than Dialyn while not being that far off from her power-wise is worth the trade off for me personally.
- Billy's drift has been changed. No more long and short drift. You only have short drift now for both left and right variations.
- Drift input direction is no longer inverted kek
- Billy's EBA now has an auto-correct failsafe on the off chance the blast from his exhaust will miss the enemy.
- Drift Assist Counter can be triggered way earlier now, although that might be placebo on my part. Either way, DAC feels easier to do consistently, although it still requires the player to foresee enemy attacks. It still can't be done on reaction.
- His new Ult is about 1 frame slower than his V3 Beta Ult, give or take. It also gives more bar for his EBA.
- x2 EBA is surprisingly slightly easier to do now. You still need good timing in stun to get max Determination, but it doesn't need near frame perfect timing like it was in V3-V4. You don't need two EX attacks in stun for x2 EBA now. Just one is enough, so long as you do two chain attacks.
