Protecting myself from VCX crash

hey everyone, in a bit of a pickle and could use your help.

i invested in fundrise’s innovation fund last year, and it went public this year (VCX ticker). my cost basis is somewhere between $20-$30, and right now VCX is trading at almost $300.

unfortunately i can’t sell my shares until the lockup period is over in September of this year. if i could, i’d sell all of them.

imo, VCX is going to come crashing back down to earth and i want insurance on that crash. i looked into buying puts, but i have no clue how to evaluate the best contract to buy. IV is looking really high, contracts look expensive, overall volume is low, etc.

for october 16 puts, would i want something ITM and pay up, or should i buy a put that is closer to my cost basis?

looking for any and all advice! thanks!

Anyone come over from Gundam TCG?

I’ve been playing Gundam TCG for a few months, and I like it a lot, but the 2 card combos and deck bricking is a huge problem.

I’ve heard FaB, while still a TCG, is designed in a way that makes it more consistent and less reliant on big, flashy 2-3 card combos that can change the game.

I guess my question is: has anyone come over from Gundam, and if so, what are your thoughts?

The SRE/devops engineer in me constantly goes back and forth with wanting to build out a beautiful, S tier homelab, but realistically I just need something to run open source LLMs, GHA runners, and possibly a home cloud at some point to move off of iCloud.

I’m not well versed in what kind of hardware is needed for agentic LLM usage, so I’m just throwing this out to the community to see what you all do.

I’d love some recs on servers to run something like Qwen and a small GHA self hosted runner cluster.

The Gundam TCG community is small, but growing. I was a bit frustrated with the current apps/websites that exist, so I decided to build my own!

Being an SRE/devops/platform eng by trade, I was tempted to overcomplicate it by building in AWS. I fought the urge, and instead I decided to deploy it to Cloudflare Workers backed by Supabase.

It's definitely strange to me to not be in AWS, but it's actually kind of freeing to have a simplified tech stack for this simple web app. Anyway, come check it out at https://gundamcodex.app

Next steps for me are building out a mobile application for card scanning. For those of you who have built out mobile apps, what sorts of hurdles should I be aware of?
