Why is everyone drawing Carl as a tall, slender dude? He's big! He is big meaty man!

I've noticed this a lot more lately where you enter your username then are taken to another page to enter your password. It used to be more common to just have username and password fields on the same page. I'm assuming there's a reason for this change, I just don't know what it is.
